Accessing memory is a cyclical journey - one of confusion and understanding, fracture and repair, remembering and forgetting.

The experience of recounting trauma based memory is chaotic, cathartic, disorienting, inaccurate, and incomplete. 

Anamnesis takes the viewer along this experience, using the forest as a visual metaphor for hypnosis based memory recollection. Anamnesis captures the elusiveness of memory through a forest of symbols, structuring the viewer experience not as a linear recounting of a specific memory, but rather the fragmented journey of recounting itself.
